Eddy Current inspection of continuous cast plates

 

Advantages
>Surface defects on aluminium plates are often visible to the naked eye. However, small effects are difficult to detect and the analysis becomes more subjective.

>Barely noticeable surface defects can be quite deep. Eddy Current inspection compensates for problems of visual subjectivity and also offers :

* 100% reliable inspection.
* Throughput speed greater than 2 m/s.
* A permanent communication between Zet@ Master and the PLC controlling the line, enabling modifications to the casting parameters depending on th type of found defects.
* Automatic marking of defects with instantaneous drying.
* Detection of defect below the surface, up to 1 mm deep.

* Zet@ Master multi-channel, multi-frequency, 24 channels for 250 mm. The quantity of probes will change according to plates width

* Automatic calibration with reference block
